Mini Pro : can't calibrate sensor

PostMon Dec 18, 2017 9:24 am

Hello

just got my new ursa mini pro and wanted to calibrate the sensor
but the camera tells me that too much light is hitting the sensor and I can't calibrate,
even though I put the cap on, am in a dark room...

any ideas ?
thanks

Have you shot a little footage with the lens cap on to see if you can notice some light leaks?

Try removing the lens and putting the camera body cap on instead. That was the original way to do it. If it still says you have too much light, then something is wrong with the camera. It’s not you. I’d call BMD Support.

Sounds like a fault then.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

My UMP did this a few weeks ago. Same scenario, lens cap on and got the too much light message.I did a camera factory reset and I was able to calibrate the sensor from there and haven't had the issue happen again..

Good, Victor. I thought your original message mentioned the lens cap, but now I see it does not mention whether it was a lens cap or body cap but I must have been seeing things.
