BMPCC4K - Manual - Price?

Hi

I have two questions;

• Where is the manual? (Can't find it)
• Why the price is different on the Blackmagic site & the authorised European dealer? (picture in attachment)

Why am I asking for the manual... I love to know my equipment in soul, and there is non better timeing to read it before I get the camera.

The manual has not been released yet as the camera is in very limited distribution. It should appear very soon. Say by IBC2018?

The EU dealer price probably includes VAT. BM site is in USD, so an exchange rate is also factored in.

Look @ the picture, it's € infront the price...

Mirko, if you look at the small print at the bottom of the page it says prices without tax (Austria/France/Italy).
If you change the country to Germany it shows prices including tax.

Yes, I saw the €. Anyway, it is close, prices always vary by region, €1,175 (Euro) is $1,362 USD, so not that much difference in price. The $1295 USD price is a MSRP (manufacturers suggested retail price), dealers are free to sell for more or lesss, if they choose.

Yes you all are right about the price.

It is strange that BMD choose to change the displayed prices in most EU countries to exclude tax, but show it with tax added in Germany. Normally you have to display prices always including tax in the EU. Except you are selling business to business.

BTW, I have one of the first preorders here in Austria, so if you are not too far away from Graz you are welcome to have a visit to my place and a hands on, when the camera arrives. Although so far I have no idea when I will receive mine

Most of the BMD official dealers in the UK advertise the price before tax. This is because professionals are often VAT registered and don't have to pay VAT at the end of the day. Of course, it also makes the gear look cheaper on first viewing. VAT is 20%, so I have to factor in a 20% increase in printed price when I buy.
The same dealers will advertise the price including tax in small print.

Chris, that is all known to me. But BMD isn't selling B2B exclusively, so they have to advertise prices including VAT on their EU website versions. As I got a VAT ID the VAT, the increased price doesn't care me, I can claim the VAT monthly back anyway.
