The power consumption answer also depends on everything electrical that draws power from the camera or the battery. If you’re shooting with manual lenses and nothing attacked externally, your power draw will be low. So hard to predict without knowing the wattage of the camera while recording and other additional items we are rarely told. The way some of these 7.2VDC batteries have been dying quickly it’s a good and important question. When you test your camera, you’ll find out. For example if you know your have a fully charged 2000 milliamperes battery and the camera dies in less than an hour, you know the power flow was about 2 amps.
To be safe, you will need to provide about 22W for the camera to run with external media, active lens, full screen and tally light brightness. This won't allow you to trickle charge the battery. To do all that + trickle charge the LP-E6, you need 30W.
Although you cannot operate the camera by power from the USB-C port, you can probably charge the camera quickly with this new Mophie Powerstation USB-C 3XL 45W 26Ah battery pack: http://www.mophie.com/shop/powerstation-USBC-3XL
There is a less powerful and less expensive Mophie Powerstation XXL that is 30 watts so that’s borderline useful. I’d feel More comfortable with the 45 watts and larger capacity of the 3XL. Worth the extra $30.
