BMPCC 4k scratched sensor glass

Hi!

I scratched the glass that protects the sensor while cleaning. I've send a message to black magic and I'm waiting for their response. The problem is that I live in Peru and the shipping is too high so I'm considering, if that would be possible, to buy the glass and change it myself. what do you guys think about that? Has anyone tried that?

You asked if anyone here has done that change of the sensor glass and apparently no one has. Please contact BMD Support and ask if they will ship you the parts you need and the procedure to follow. I think it’s more difficult than the procedure to change the sensor glass on other older BMD cameras.

Hi, i have a similar problem and i live in peru too. I think you should order the replacement part and call to blackmagic resellers in peru to do the job. Good luck

Do you know any blackmagic resellers in peru? I bought mine in "the filmaker" store but they don't have any clue of who can do this work

i think they should provide that service because they sold the camera to you and they are an authorized reseller from blackmagic in Peru, but if they don´t, you can call others authorized resellers. That info is in the blackmagic´s website
