Tilta BMCC Rig

Has anybody bought one of these and can you say if they are any good or not? Can I also use it with a DSLR or GH3?

I´ve bought the TILTA Rig for my BMCC 2.5K ( but without the wooden handles) and so far i´m very pleased with it.
Built-quality is very,very good (it´s like a russian-tank) and it´s well thought.
The follow-focus is very precise and smooth and one of the best i´ve ever had in my hands.
Even the Mattebox is a good one ( in the first time the filter-holders needed a bit of attention to get them in and out. But once you´ve did that a few times, everything is ok).

The only pain with the TILTA Rig was the delivering time... it took a bit longer as expected to get the gear.
but, to be honest, i orderered some "special" accessories with it, which could have been the problem.
( i ordered at cinegearpro.com in the uk and they did a great job in helping me with the stuff).

So finaly i´ll give it a recommendation from my side!

I've tried to buy a Tilda rig in the US and could not find any distributor. I gave up.

I've got both the "older" black BMCC rig and the new silvery one with the wooden handles. They're built very well. I also use matching Tilta battery plates, follow focus, carbon fiber matte boxes, etc, and like all of them quite a bit. Those wooden handles have a detachable LANC cable and a record button built into them. I've replaced all the aluminum rails with carbon fiber.

Also worth noting that I recently emailed them to ask questions about upcoming rigs for the BMPCC and got a response within an hour. I've been told this responsiveness translates onto the support side as well, but haven't needed to test it yet.

Those carved handles look really nice and I like the fact they included a record button on them. Wish they sold them separately since I've already invested in a different rig, but still need some handles.

I have a Tilta rig for my NX5 and its pretty good, would look at one again if I had to. Adapting other cameras to my rig is impossible without an EVF.

Sounds like they'll have a BMPCC rig at IBC in Sept, shipping shortly thereafter.

This rig is heavy. But viewfactor cage is not light weight either.

I have seen a lot of rigs for the BMCC and I really like fact that this cage fits like a glove around the BMCC, not to mention the great TH-T04 top handle with all of its thread-ins. The style is very futuristic but that is to be expected from TiLTA

The TiLTA BMCC cage weighs less then 1Kg and that includes the TiLTA TH-T04 Top Handle which by itself weighs 289g

The entire rig weighs 3860g plus the 2Kg counter-weight system. This is a very light-weight rig and perfectly balances the BMCC/BM4K.

The rig also includes industry standard (ARRI) rosettes and one of the wooden handles includes a REC button (LANC connection)

Considering the amount of kit, the functionality, and TiLTA's modular approach this is a great rig that I am definitely buying for myself.
