New York City: Night and Day. Filmed with the BMCC.

Hi Everyone

Was in New York a week ago - filmed a piece which I've called New York: Night and Day.

Filmed using 2 Blackmagic Cinema Cameras - the EF and MFT models.

The night footage was filmed as RAW at 2.5K and the day footage filmed as ProRes 1920 × 1080. Both cameras were to 23.98fps. Grading done in DaVinci Resolve and FCPX.

I was specifically interested in testing audio which I did using a Mix Pre pre-amp.

Every frame you see, the interview and pieces to camera, + all audio, recorded directly on the BMCC. No other cameras involved.

Great work - I really enjoyed this. One of the nicest pieces I've seen to date on the BMCC.

Night shots look spectacular! Day shots kinda have that gray look to them, although it looked like a cloudy day, as well.

Could be a bit shorter (cut out the repetitive "you know what I mean...") and I really would love some street noise. It's a bit 'sterile' if you can see a busy city, but can't hear it.
