Suggestion: BMPCC 4/6K HDMI monitor & menu

PostMon Jan 13, 2020 7:53 pm

Greetings all,

I'd like to make a suggestion regarding the useability of the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K. This idea comes from using devices from other brands, such as Nikon and Canon.

The sensor consumes a lot of battery power while monitoring. When using an HDMI monitor, the camera's monitor stays on, providing image as usual.

With an HDMI monitor plugged into the camera, why not put up an option to display only options such as ISO, WB, shutter and so on, or even the ability to not use the camera's screen entirely, since footage is already displayed on the external monitor?
It could make things simpler in some situations, and preserve battery life.

Perhaps the option already exist and I missed it. Regardless, I deem it a reasonable suggestion.
