Need Suggestions for Nikon F to MFT Adapter

PostSun Jan 19, 2020 3:41 am

I have two Nikkor F manual prime lenses that I want to use with the Pocket 4K. One is a 55mm Micro (Macro) and the other is 180mm.

I’m content for these lenses to be roughly 110mm and 360mm equivalent in Micro Four Thirds.

Voigtlander sells an adapter that is US$180 from the usual U.S. sources, but is in fact available from less well-known, but reliable, sources (I’m sure not counterfeit) for US$100.

The Voigtlander adapter is said to be very high quality. Does anyone know of an adapter that is meaningfully less expensive but solid and reliable? Not looking for brand name suggestions (I’ve used both Novoflex and Fotodiox adapters for other purposes), but for a Nikon F to MFT that someone has used and recommends. If anyone has used the Voigtlander adapter, I’d also appreciate comments about it.

Thanks

I use those two same lenses with my BMPCC4K using a Metabones adapter. Very simple very solid construction works great. The non speed booster version. Cost us around $100USD but worth it.

Thanks Mike, so that gives me two options, albeit at the same price point.

Quality stuff is not cheap. Anything less than $100 and buyer beware.

There are a lot of photographers on the internet who think that only a fool would pay more than about $25 for an adapter. Then you read complaints about said adapters and wonder who the fool is.

It’s why I asked in this thread for suggestions based on hands-on experience :)
