Black Spot

i received my BMCC 3 or 4 months ago, made a lot of test.... and today black spot have appeared on the sun :( i have installed 1.4 version, on the 1.3 i did not had black spot on the sun, someone can help with this problem???

That's been a problem since the initial release. I'm currently on 1.3 and it's definitely there. It happened to me the other day. Hopefully eventually it will get fixed.

This happens when and where the sensor overloads. The only way to avoid it is to stop down your iris or add ND filters, or not to film directly into sun or headlights...

This has been an issue since the BMCC first shipped. We all assumed it would be fixed in a firmware update, but here we are almost year later and it's still there.

I think most of us have lost that 'of course Blackmagic will fix an obvious bug like that!' attitude.

Frustrating.

but its easy to fix if you mask it to white. not the best solution but thats it till its sorted with firmware.
