BMPCC6K - Hdmi output not working

PostTue Feb 25, 2020 8:45 am

Hi, I'm the owner of a BMPCC6K and it was working perfectly until last week when I was about to start recording and when I started the external monitor (Atomos Shinobi) no signal was coming.
I tried different monitors and hdmi cables but nothing changed. I also did a factory reset of the camera but nothing.
I have the latest 6.8 firmware and I also try to downgrade but even this wasn't succesful.
I tried to contact support last week but no answer.
What can I do??
I need the camera to work.
Thanks

Marco

If it’s still under warranty, arrange an RMA with your regional BMD Support.

Is your monitor and camera powered by the same power source? I fried my HDMI port by powering my monitor and camera from the same V-mount battery.

I power the BMVA12G7 by batteries on the back to play it safe. It’s nice to see the large NP-F batteries being an option. For longer shoots though, I’d hope to be able to have power from its DC Power adapter. Have no plans to use one large V-mount battery on both camera and external monitor. So far so good.

I see no reason for this to happen if you have a proper battery plate. However, if you are connecting to the V-mount ports when the camera and monitor are on, there are possibilities.
