Hello,

Firstly, thank you John Brawley and the Blackmagic team for their contributions and hard work.

I am in the UK and was thinking about pre-ordering the BMCC but would like to know if I pre-ordered now, would I receive it in the first batch i.e at the end of August/beginning Sept ... OR ... does it mean I will need to wait 3 months or whenever the next batch is manufactured?

Would be grateful if someone could clarify.

Not that this is much help, since I am only guessing. But I seriously doubt that if you Order now that you will see on before november. I have a feeling that they have already pre-sold enough units to keep them cranking them out until then.

I have been told by my supplier (CVP in the UK) that I will likely not get my camera in the first batch - and I pre-ordered several months ago. Production gear also have quite a few pre-orders I understand.

Yeah do it because you'll still get it quicker than if you don't! Its always refundable too - check with the dealer.

Not sure about your location but a few vendors up here in Canada did not ask for a deposit.
Now hoping that I go up on the list if there are deadbeats out there

Ok, may go ahead. Cheapest UK price I've found is £2064 incl VAT.

Hi Luke. Would you share what number in line you are for the camera right now?
No worries if not, I'm with CVP too and I when I asked I got a "We're not sure" Answer at the time.

I ordered the day the pre order came up on the CVP web site, around 10AM if I remember. When I spoke to them a few weeks ago they said I am number 7 on their list. I think I also remember that they said anybody above 30 probably has to wait until the end of the year.

Really? I am 52 at CVP and was told Mine would take only few weeks longer to arrive once the camera is released.

I got a call from them (CVP) on the phone about an hour ago and told me they were only expecting 30 units in the first delivery. They told me late september as a guess.

I'm hovering around 75 at the minute - but I was 92 when I first ordered.

30 units at the first delivery sounds really good to me.

I have just pre-ordered at Calumet, I'm 2nd on the list. But I don't know how many cameras or when they are getting it in.

No wonder you're 2nd on the list - £2,310.00! - that's crazy.

Got them to price match it, luckily. I pretty blooming excited...

Just preordered my little aluminum encased piece of heaven and thought I'd join the forum and give a heads up to anyone who is curious about eta's...

I called B&H and asked for a little insight and my friendly customer service rep claimed that "the manufacturer has told them they will be shipping enough cameras in the first wave to cover all their existing preorders to date"...

So I jumped on that, it's no guarantee for sure, but I honestly had very little hope of seeing it before Halloween with such a late preorder and so much hub-bub circulating...

And don't forget they have a "bundle offer" currently at B&H where you basically get the "BMCC Handles" for free if you order before the end of the month... pretty crazy.

If that is true I am really excited. I think I am in the top 10 at Markertek, so it looks like I will have my hands on this baby sooner rather than later!

Agreed, that's very exciting. Especially if the larger distributors get around the same first shipment.

I found out today that I'm now 35 at CVP. . . I would love to be in the first shipment, but I'll be happy either way.
