If you could only have one BMCC camera and one lens what would your choice be? Nothing more and nothing less then one camera (BMCC EF OR MFT, BMPCC) and one lens.

I'm waiting for a BMPC-4K camera, and plan to get a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 lens as a general-purpose lens to use with it, because they fit my budget and the requirements of many of the productions I work on. I also own (and rent) other lenses that I'll use with the camera (and other cameras), too.

You may have different needs, budget, and time scale (you may need a camera that's available "now"; the BMPC-4K isn't shipping yet).

There's no 1 perfect camera & lens ideally suited for every user & production.

I have a 4K on order but John Brawleys comments over the little while about its dynamic range makes me think that I'm going to still like the 2.5k more. I don't need a global shutter really (I like smooth slow moves) and I will have to deal with wider glass. I really like the Sigma 8-16mm but then I'd also need a 24-70 to round it out.

One lens is very hard and I'll be sticking with my primes.

Plus 2.5k is plenty big and the files are huge true raw.

Cause I want to be low profile it's the BM pocket cam with the 14-42mm Lumix Mk2. It's the perfect compact low profile handheld set up, for me.

To keep things in perspective both realistically and within practical reason, before this becomes a "dream" gear question:

A pocket bmc
Canon 8-64 f2.8
Director/Writer
Busan, South Korea + Los Angeles, CA
