Quick Release adaptor ring for nikon to ef

PostSat Aug 24, 2013 2:25 am

Anyone have an adaptor ring that mounts to the body of the bmcc instead of having to buy a ring for each lens? Since my wife and I share lenses this would make much more sense, anyone?

My guess is that such an adapter would be impractical because the difference between Nikon and EF flange distances is so small that adapters have to be very thin. A locking mechanism release would be hard to fabricate on such a thin adapter. They are usually springs within the mount. This means you have to mount the adapter to the lens, not the camera. You can have a single adapter on an MFT BMCC because it's more like a tube with enough room to have a push style release mechanism.
