1st Macro Shoot Test Footage

We are rookies in CS6 and Resolve. In short, BMCC rocks for macro. (at least for web delivery). Have not seen it on big screens yet

Good outcome.

Glad to help. I think the crop factor actually helped a lot. Its not always bad to have a crop ^^

Yes, jealous! :D

Thanks for sharing, and please share more video if you have time. Among other things, some "bridal veil" detail and skin tones would be interesting to see. Thanks!

thanks for posting this sean, it looks great. and this is extra helpful as this is the same setup i'm looking into (bmcc + canon 100mm macro). a couple questions if you don't mind:

1. with the cropped frame i'm assuming the 100mm is getting you a little better then 2X magnification, correct?

2. how close/bright is your lighting? for the type of work i do (link in my signature), i already have to use a lot of close-in, intensely bright lighting to capture scenes correctly and i'm worried that the smaller sensor on the bmcc will need even more. i'm assuming from your footage that you didn't have to get too crazy, and that normal lighting is sufficient?
