New camera out of the box.
Charged it up, popped on a lens, put in an ssd.
recorded 30 seconds of footy, transfered to the PC to check...all is good
Hooked up the ikan d7w to the sdi, all looks good.
I pushed the menu button to change white balance to check colors on the ikan, all is good.
I push the menu button to get out of the menu and the camera goes blank. I'm thinking maybe I hit the power button instead of menu??? (I know i didn't but...)
Press the power button again...nothing , no fan, no nothing.
disconnect the monitor sdi... cycle power,...nothing
change the lens, cycle power,...nothing
plug in the charger, cycle power,...nothing
After scratching my head for a while, I hold the power button in for a few seconds. (like on a pc when you want to force it to shut down)
I press the power button for the 1 second or so it took to start up before and I can see the screen flicker VERY faintly for just a 10th of a second of so. (like it was trying to turn on)
Tell me there's some kind of secret combonation of buttons on here that "Resets" the camera or something... Suggestions?
I was thinking, hit the button like it's "ON" then leaving it for a while to see if the battery goes dead and maybe recycles it??? (I'm NOT gonna attempt taking the battery out, if that's even possible, not gonna kill my warranty)
