BMCC MFT Speedboster S35mm request

PostMon Sep 02, 2013 11:31 am

Hi guys,

Can I request someone to post some decent footage of this being used.

I'm not really interested in the stop gain but just how the BMC looks with the extra wide super35mm look. Can I see some skin tones, cityscape etc. please.

So far there's not much out there but boring candles and back garden houses and the phillip bloom test, that I have seen lol, if anyone can point me to where I might find some I would be grateful.

As soon as my bmc setup arrive I will contributing with similar tests and hopefully a full short movie

many thanks

Sweet, so have you got the Rokinon lens in a Nikon mount or using an adapter. Looking forward to it!

Yes, Nikon Mount. So, Speed Booster Nikon F to MFT. Footage is really cool. Especially the 24mm Cine. You get very wide on that baby. 35mm Cine is nice too.

Sorry for the JPG Stills. But, just to show you how wide the Rokinon 24mm Cine is with the Speed Booster:) Sorry, don't have a regular Nikon to MFT mount to compare. But from what I've seen online without the Speed Booster, this is wider.

No Grade. ISO 800, 180 shutter, 24P, Cinema DNG Raw 2.5K. Prepping for a Pilot, so too busy at the moment for video upload.

Sure will. Had a chance to shoot around the City last night. Sometime this week.

I use the speed booster with my BMCC MFT and my Nikon lenses. I love it. It is about a 10% smaller FOV than standard Super 35mm.
Here is a screen grab from a time lapse I shot overlooking the Puget Sound. Highly compressed with very little touch up... but it will give you a sense of the field of view. I shot this on the 11-16mm Tokina Nikon version and I believe it was dialed to about 15mm.

I will post the full time lapse when I get a chance. A lot going on right now.

It's a shame that they don't offer a PL-Mount version.
