Zoom H4N best settings?

Seeking the advice of an experienced sound guy here.

I just received my Rode NTG3 and I'm wondering about the best setting on the ZOOM H4N to capture high-quality dialogue/audio.

Any help in this department would be very much appreciated.

I'd assume 24bit audio, 48kHz. That's what I use on my Tascam.

Really hard to capture good quality on h4n from xlr inputs. Those preamps are gain limited. Though ntg3 is quite a hot mic, so it might work in many situations.
