Weird Artifact on my new BMCC

PostSun Sep 08, 2013 2:21 am

I just purchased yesterday my BMCC and i got this artifact on all my scenes , they are in pro res, dnxhd and raw and they appear with any lens and more towards the dark scenes, you have to go like f12 to start looking at it, do you guys know if its a sensor issue, please advise as i just have 7 days to return to the dealer.

thanks

blow it up, 3 times and nothing, i can see some dust inside the glass but ill bet the air will not go thru.

there is a glass in the middle of the sensor and the end of the camera, is there a way to blow air to the inside to the sensor.

I have this exact same issue, where the dot wasnt noticeable until the lens is stopped down past f/4.0-5.6. I emailed blackmagic and the just took it in for repairs. I would do the same if I were you

no, if it's under the glass protecting the sensor, you'll have to send the camera in for repair.
