BMCC PROBLEM under 7 Degrees Celsiuse

I have BMCC EF, and i head a problem with my camera, when i am shooting with it under 7 degrees Celsius, the leans aperture control stops working, above 7 digress Celsius everything is ok, Did someone knows something about it????
BMCC 2.5K EF, LEANS CANON 16-35mm 2.8f L. 1 generation.

I think it's specced for zero to 40 degrees, so you did pretty good.

actually David, 7 degree is still above 0 which represents freezing point to water... so it should work without a problem according to your 0-40 degree comment.

ah, sorry, I read it as minus 7. Thats not too good. I've had mine at -3 (27F) without too much trouble.

I have that same lens and my aperture doesn't work at all on the BMCC lol (but it works fine on a Canon DSLR) .

It's probably not a BMCC issue but rather the mechanics of the lens? The apertures in a lot of lenses are lubricated with fine oil, the oil may solidify or become less effective at low temperatures, causing the aperture not to respond.

Given that my lens like that doesn't respond at all I would hazard a guess that the BMCC emits barely enough power to drive the aperture servo and so the suggestion above would have an even higher likelyhood.

Have you tried with multiple lenses ?
