[Advice] iMac 2013 and BMCC and P, no problems?

PostFri Sep 20, 2013 12:00 pm

Hi there,
my name is Giovanni and I write here for first time. Sorry for my bad english, but I going to purchase a Blackmagic Camera and Pocket Camera and I think to purchase a iMac 2013 with i7 3,4Ghz and GTX 680MX 2G. Can I go quite with that configuration to run Resolve and manage RAW file to editing or must I think to purchase a PC to have more power?! Tell m, I don't want wrong in my purchase considered that the whole investment for me is more than my financial possibility.

Thank you for any sugestions...

The latest iMac with the 2GB GPU upgrade is fine for working with Resolve and the BMCC 2.5k RAW files.

You will want fast external storage for your files tho. Something like a Thunderbolt RAID would be ideal.

Steven70,

Apple today released new iMac configurations. You can have a 27" iMac with a Nvidia GTX 780M with 4GB of GDDR5 Ram.
