Sandisk-Lexar-Sony sd cards.Which for Pocket?

PostSun Sep 29, 2013 9:49 pm

I saw three options SD Cards that may be fine for Pocket:
Sandisk Estreme Pro 95mb/s
Sony 94mb/s
Lexar 90mb/s
Sony and Lexar are significantly more cheaper.
what is your opinion for use without problems?

We already know that Sandisk is recommended.
But what about Lexar and Sony?
can be an alternative choice?

I'm Sony 94mb/s 32GB user and this card isn't working well on my BMPCC. It drop frame!! Don't buy it
I'm also a Sandisk extreme pro 64GB user and it work really well on BMPCC. Never drop frame! highly recommend.

Here we go again. If the cards are not certified, why would you want to risk it anyway. Unless you are just shooting family events or similar that are not critical. There is a good reason why some cards have not be certified. :o

I tried the Sony 32 gb 95 mb cards and they did not work at all for me. 64gb Sandisk extreme and extreme pro both working fine.

Stick to the approved list. I've tried numerous un-approved cards for giggles and none of them are as reliable as the SanDisk.

You're more than welcome to try your hand with SD cards that haven't been certified by the company but those are at your own risk. Do keep in mind we are working on adding more to the list of approved card but until those have been cleared, we would highly suggest you stick with the ones we recommend.
