Macro work with the BM Cinema Camera

PostSat Oct 19, 2013 4:43 am

Hi Everyone

I've loved shooting close work for years, from still photography to using close up lenses and macro lenses on big sensor video cameras.

Got a fantastic, and rare, Nikon lens recently and tested it on the BM Cinema Camera (EF) with spectacular results.

The lens is the Nikon 70-180mm Macro F4/5.6 - this is the worlds only variable focal macro lens (unfortunately the lens was discontinued in 2004.)

The 2.3 times crop factor works in that it increases the focal length to the equivalent of 161-414mm in 35mm still photography terms. That’s a pretty long reach for a macro lens.

Hope you enjoy the images. I called the short movie "Last Burst of Summer."

Catch you all soon,

Rick
