Iris button in relation to Zebra Levels

PostTue Oct 22, 2013 10:13 am

Morning all!

Just a quick question. I know that when you press the Iris button it will automatically expose your scene to make sure there are no clipped highlights. My question is is this exposure level based on the level that you set your zebras? So for example if you set your zebras to 75% then does the iris function use that as its level to base the exposure of the scene on?

thanks

No, it just stops down the lens until there is nothing hitting 100% - or at least it will go as far as it can.
