Bought the wrong lens for BMPCC

PostSat Nov 23, 2013 7:23 am

I bought a panasonic 14-42 before I knew that OIS doesn't work unless the lens has an actual switch for it. I'm very new to using MFT lenses so my question is: are there any similarly priced lenses with OIS that will work on the pocket?

The 14-45 has the OIS switch. It's a kit lens and you find them used really cheap.

Yep, get the 14-45 OIS, it's a better build anyway, and the OIS is helpfull. Recently i bought one for €150 - and got a panasonic GF1 with it... You might be able to sell the 14-42 at a similar price, as it's the "newer" lens, i sold the GF1 with the 14-42 for €199, so effectively i switched a 14-42 for a 14-45 and made 50 bucks on the way. Now if only i had a pocket cam to use it with... :-(
