Power cable long enough for Steadicam

PostSun Dec 29, 2013 12:03 am

Hello BMC Community

I am a new owner/operator of a steadicam rig for my BMCC, and the one piece of gear I need to make it functional is something so simple and seemingly cheap, I cant find it anywhere (go figure).

I need a D-tap to 12v-30v cable that can run about 3-4 feet (the length of the gimbal) so that I can place my Vmount batteries on the bottom of the rig. I cannot find this anywhere online. Does anyone have a solution?

Time for a soldering moment I guess.

A regular D-Tap to 2.5mm barrel (male) power cable and a 2.5mm barrel (female) to 2.5mm barrel (male) extension cable should work.
