URSA Mini Pro with Canon CN-E18-80mm

PostThu Feb 01, 2024 8:42 pm

Hello,

i have an URSA Mini Pro with FW 8.1
Now i will buy the Canon CN-E18-80mm Objective.

The Remote Connector of Canon has 20pin and USA has 12pin.

My questions:
To use AF and Zoom with remote connect to URSA, what cable i need?
Or did it works (Zoom via LANC) without this cable?

Something like this but able to handle focus and zoom on one cable:

AFAIK the lens is powered from the EF mount, which should give you iris and focus from the camera, maybe zoom? The 20 pin cables are for the hand servo and Canon or Fujinon branded zoom and focus demands.

Good Luck

This isn’t a B4 lens, it does not, and should not, be connected to the 12 pin Hirose on the camera. The 20 pin interfaces on the lens are for external zoom/focus demands.

The larger Canon zooms like the 17-102mm and the 25-250mm utilize the B4 convention and feature a 12 pin Hirose. The smaller zooms, this one the 18-80mm, and 70-200mm, are hopped up EF lenses, push, turn, click.

Good Luck
