...US authorized resellers that is...and G&G Technologies, Inc. isn't there. The good news is that your Website is trying to work again. :D

In my best John Brawley voice: "Really?" :D

I'm not able to get into the "Reseller" area of BMD's website at the moment, and haven't been able to most of today, again.

D.O.S. attack?

Reseller purge?

ISP incompetence?

Dingo ate my web-admin?

WTF?

I don't see his company listed, but frankly, BMD's site is so excruciatingly slow (when it isn't completely unreachable), and the Reseller directory on the BMD website is so unbelievably stupidly designed, it's possible they might be there but I just couldn't find them.

And that's the good news.

Looks like they're hosted with Rackspace.. Traceroute has no problems for me locally or from web hosting versions. Are other people having this issue? Maybe it's just your ISP Peter??

I suppose that's possible, but no other sites I visit are slow. Other sites I visit in Australia, New Zealand, an other parts of the world are very fast.

Of course, right at the moment BMD's site is working very fast for me again. Who knows what the problem was earlier today, all day, but it's snappy now. Really strange.

You'll find those names have a substantially different complaint-to-contribution ratio.

I had to login because the Dingo Baby thing actually happened and was horrible. DOS attacks and ISP issues suck but using the Dingo Baby thing after we now know it was real is kind of tacky. Maybe I'm sensitive as my daughter is now 2 weeks old. Just my 2 cents.

I wish you'd learn how to quote...I didn't say it at all but I must admit that I laughed at it. Does that make me a horrible person?

Hi Kelly: Apologies. There'll be no further mention from me of dingos eating anything -- web-admins, BMCC updates, or otherwise. Cheers.

When I used the phrase in my post, I only knew the "American comedy" version of the phrase. Thanks to Kelly's heads-up, I now learn there's much, much more to the story:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingo_ate_my_baby
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingo_ate_ ... t_and_bias

(Scrolling down in the 2nd link, they mention the American comedy aspect of the meme based on what turns out is a tragic story.)

In future I'll instead say things like, "The Drop Bears ate the BMD ISP!", or, "The Drop Bears ate my weekly BMCC status update!", depending on the situation.

Yeah, although i do mean a 'type of person' who's always busy.. for example have you seen the posts David Mullen makes after a 12-14 hour work day? They would take at least 30-60mins to type out like he does. And he's on multiple forums. That guy is machine/freak/genius. :D

'Busy people' (not just anyone working long days, but a personality that HAS to stay busy) tend to either be more organized or at least better at gettings things done quicker than most (so can fit more things into their day), or just so used to doing lots that even "unwinding" at home leads to doing things most would equate to "a lot of work". Some will see it as spare time, the 'busy person' sees it as making use of all available time. Or they just can't stop. You've never come home after a 14-16 hour day to sit down and write a 1 hour post on a forum that at the end of you realize "i shouldn't post this" and close your browser tab? Maybe i'm just lucky.

You've contributed and spent a lot of time reading and posting on these forums John, but we all know you don't have tons (any?) spare time. You just make better use of the time you have than most others.

What the hell is the thread even about? :D
