I don't have any issues with the latest firmware....hopefully they'll release the newest one soon.

Nothing has really changed from what I can tell for BMCC since version 1.3.1, when a few improvements were added. At the same time, there was an unannounced change to the audio, that corrected DC offset but killed most of the low end frequency response.

1.8.

Audio is fixed along with many improvements according to the list posted earlier. It's also not on the same codebase as the other cameras. So we should see other improvements too in the near future.

Firmware gets uploaded by the engineers in Australia (where it is now Monday evening) and then announced by the marketing team who are in the US (where is it early Monday morning).

Expect an official announcement later today. ;-)

When they release a firmware update which brings audio levels I'll update my BMPCC. Currently mine's working fine, but could do with audio levels to improve useability.

I uploaded version 1.8 and installed it before it was taken down and seem to have lost the green focus assist. However what I can see is a massive leap forward for BM. Raw looks fantastic!.

Good morning:

This is not a software release we have approved. We don't support it and it should not be installed on cameras. We will definitely let you know officially when the new firmware will be available to download.
