Tilta Rig + BMPCC + Metabones EF?

PostFri Sep 26, 2014 7:14 am

I want to get this rig, but I frequently use a Canon EF 24-70 MKII which is fairly heavy and I use the metabones tripod adapter on the bottom of the ring instead so the weight is lifted from the BMPCC.

If I get this rig, how would I go on about do that?

Any help appreciated! CHEERS!

P.S. Love this setup so much, amazing quality for such a tiny price...

With the rods that come with the Tilta cage, I would purchase a lens stabilizer, you can purchase a cheap one on amazon. Just type in TARION Professional Flexible Big Lens Rod Support Unit.

That TARION product doesn't show up in the US version of Amazon, but Google led me to its listing on amazon.co.uk It's a gizmo I didn't know existed, but I'm planning on setting up one of these rigs to get off the tripod, and I'll probably need one for one or two of my Nikon lenses. Thanks!

No problem :) I always find little things here and there that are needed. Good thing is these are so cheap, you can most likely find the same but different make in the US for $4-7 dollars each.

Tilta makes an accessory for that cage, for supporting the adapter/speed booster

The manufacturer code is LS-T06.

Movcam also sells a cage with that support already included in the bundle.
