SOUNDS LIKE GOOD NEWS FOR SHIPPING!!!

PostTue Nov 20, 2012 3:35 pm

Hey guys, I had a conversation with a B&H Rep today and they forwarded me the email they received from Black Magic Design that stated they are confident they will ship in the triple digits before the end of the year and they are confident they will fill all of B&H's orders plus have some left over before the year is out.
This is simply what he forwarded me. I have no way of verifying but I doubt the rep would lie to me. He had nothing to gain. :) This news made me pretty happy. :) Hopefully Grant will come on and confirm this soon.
Have a great day!!!

B&H has 800 back orders? Wow! I wonder if BMD will ship all to B&H before they move down the list to the next reseller (i.e., Omega in Austin)? I sure wish someone would shed a little light on how this US distribution might work when someone other than B&H and G&G begins to get BMCs.

from the looks of the statement, its from the distributor to B&H, so I would say that its saying that there are over 800 US pre-orders, rather than them all being just for B&H.

Tom - I disagree, but I could be wrong. The snapshot of the conversation indicates that the B&H rep was quoting B&H's buyer. It appears to me that, assuming the B&H buyer is a B&H employee, that the "800" refers to B&H pre-orders.

Regardless, having a late pre-order at B&H, this thread gives me hope that B&H receives enough stock by the end of the year. In this case, I might just believe that there is a Santa Clause.

The chat log reads: "our BKO's" so I think that means BnH's BKO's/Back Orders. It's not the first time that I've heard that BnH has around 800 back orders.
