Something to watch..

PostThu Nov 29, 2012 9:16 pm

While y'all are waiting on your camera's..

This was a fun project I did on the side for some friends.. this is a 3 part series of shorts
called Glass under Foot..
All the video was shot hand-held.. and like I said.. really just for some fun videos to put on their Barefoot waterskiing webpage.. This was a blast to shoot and I had some fun editing it on FCP7

Main video

2 shorter individual videos

Cameras used:
Canon 60D w/ Sigma 30 F1.4 (fader ND) and Rokinon 14mm T3.1 cine lenses
Canon XF100 for chase boat shots (fantastic active IS)
GoPro HeroHD

I shot this in late October with the air temp around 45f.. water temp 70f
If you aren't familiar with Barefoot waterskiing this will be a treat! Betsy and Chris are amazing! and have both gone to the World Championships in Germany..

I thought this might be a spot were folks can post links to their work.. something fun to watch while we're hanging out here..
I know my stuff isn't ground breaking or oscar-worthy.. but I thought it would be something fun to watch for folks that haven't seen barefoot waterskiing before.. just something different..
So if you have something cool or just something you really liked working on.. post it here for us to check out!

First song in combination with the go pro imaging and the 'extreme sports' gave me the feelling it was a new Go Pro promotional video (and I always get a 'feel good' sensation with those) So yeah I liked it

Really nice, Bill! Barefoot waterskiing looks like a lot of fun, but I bet it's way harder than it looks. And I can't believe they did that when it was 45 degrees F!!!!! Way too cold!

It is a lot harder than it looks! and at 45-50mph the wipeouts can be hazardous to your health! It was really a lot of fun to shoot! I wish I had my GoPro3 Black at the time :) When I get my BMCC I might have to do a little shooting next Spring to see how it turns out!
