FUJINON TV LENS CINEMA CAMERA

PostSun Dec 16, 2012 10:55 am

Hello,

I have two questions:
Is it possible to associate the blackmagic Cinema Camera with a FUJINON TV LENS Th16x5.5BRMU?
http://www.globalmediapro.com/dp/A02V00 ... 5BRM-Lens/

Is the blackmagic Cinema Camera compatible with the istopmotion 3 software?
Thanks,

Perrine

Might wanna ask this in the Cinematography section of the forum. Will get missed by most people in here.

Regarding the lens, you would need a lens adapter, as that is a 2/3" mount.

This is something I would like to see in future versions. "Cinema" style production is such a small niche market for pro video cams. Product should be multi purpose, especially seeing that ENG/EFP and multicam "studio" style cams outsell the cinema rigs 1000 to 1! At this price point you could be sweeping a much larger market share.
Some additional features would be required. Support for power zoom / auto focus television style lenses is a must. 1080i 59.94 SMPTE 292 out on SDI also. With these features your biggest problems would be meeting the demand for 3000+ units a month!
BMD should consider a "swiss army" kit of lens adaptors to allow users to configure the camera we need for a given task.
