Not completely true, FormatC shipped 1 enduser model, ES Broadcast at least one, and Delimex also one. So it seems they are coming through, although at a very slow pace. To be honest - it sucks being told to be at the top of the list and not getting it first though. Did you get that confirmation from Jacky?

Here in Estonia we have really quiet.

I asked my reseller and they even do not have got any signal at all from UK office that supplies them.

Make me wonder also.

Netherlands:
Only demo models @ 2 resellers. (1 unit per reseller)

Netherlands:
Biggest dutch rental house received rental units

Seems really harse that it is rentable at the moment, but there are none sold yet to freelancers.....

We should have been shooting already, we have a aging SI2K here thats been good to us but we upgrade the kit every few years & my boss is now expecting something better quality which Ive been saying is on the way...... We invested a lot more then the camera in some other kit for it also. With the type of filming we do its too risky to rent. For us our filming season is about to really start right now.

I almost got a camera last week from a US seller but he changed his mind. I hear that someone walked into a shop in Japan & got one over the counter for cash! I even looked to see how much a flight there would cost lol

I ordered one in Australia, as I'm going there anyway in April, so I hope they were relieable in telling me that they will have some in stock again in two weeks... If so, I'll try and give away my waiting position at Teltec/Germany (ordered Aug 30th) here.

What's new in Europe???

Still no shipping distributor??????

What about UK/France/Germany/Spain/Italy...???

To all the Europe customers the delay just may be a blessing, I and many, many others are sending our cameras in for the flange distance problem that is prevalent on the EF version anyway,
Imagine how we feel? I Just got my camera and had to send it away!!!

Anyway I feel your frustration, but maybe now all cameras have this fixed before they ship
and all of you in Europe will not have to deal with it at all...I hope.

Cheers

I'll keep you updated. But, honestly, I don't think I'll get mine any sooner just because I ordered a couple of days ago at an aussie reseller - although they claimed to be able to ship in two weeks time.

So if a BMC awaits me when I arrive in Oz mid April and that unit actually does work, my spot is yours.
You might want to ask me again after April 17th - maybe directly via e-mail (ts at gernemehrfilm dot de).

We'll have our soon, and without the flange problem :-)

First ones who got it from B&H or others, have to sent it back and wait for a long time to adapt their first model!!!

We'll receive the good model with the last firmware! Ready to work :-)

Does anyone know of any EU resellers who have received anything like as many as US or AUS resellers?

I am almost certain that I do not have the oldest unfulfilled pre-order (25th april) - but does anyone have an older one than that?

I wonder who will be the first person to have a pre-order over a year :-p

At the rate my reseller is getting them - I will be sure to go over the 1 year mark.

Hmm for a minute I thought it would be kind of cool to get mine after you just to get the that award for the longest wait in camera history...then I realized that I have had too much wine tonight & everything seems great!

The last time I asked (december) - I was number 35. CVP have received around 16-18 units so far, so I am probably about 20 places units away from getting mine - their rate coming in so far is about 2 a week (occasionally less)

This is really strange bordering on crazy. Although I personally couldn't stand it any longer and let some good Friends from Melbourne buy me a BMC locally last week, they just shipped it with DHL Express to me so it should arrive this week. Keeping my fingers crossed about customs/import tax - but I think it will come in at around 400-500 EUR. So of course it will be slightly more expensive than buying locally in Europe - but I won't have to wait another half year. ;) or :(

!!!AWESOME!!!

It's shorter to buy the BMC locally in Melbourne!!!
Buy it and make it send by someone = around 3 weeks :-)

Or wait in Europe, trust all the Blackmagic Updates and wait 1 Year... or more

Oh and from a friend in Tokyo I know that there are several retailers there that each have at least one BMCC still on stock! Crazy!

Another guy over at BMCUser who's based in Tokyo already thought about providing a "service" like buying BMCCs locally there and shipping them internationally. But he was kinda scared that in case of service being needed they would all contact him and it would end up being a big hassle. ;)

It's really stupid and imho totally unnecessary that people have to come up with such stupid "workarounds"! :(

I mean.. of course the waiting and holdups suck but we all can to some degree understand what caused it and the hassles that come with getting a totally new product out. But this whole shipping allocation / reseller nonsense is really frustrating - especially in a sort of "globalized" world.
And in most cases (at least for the Aussie retailers that's the case) you can't even decide to just spend more money and buy directly from them - they are not allowed to sell the cam overseas! WTF
This is like all this DVD regional code nonsense back in the day...

For example if BM would sell the cam directly: would people still complain about the cam being late? Of course... but at least the shipping order would be fair which currently accounts for a large amount of the "unrest" in the community (imho).

Of course BM is not a "young-Apple"...
But imagine...If Apple would have launched such a revolutionary product as the iPhone, as BM is launching the BMC...!

Quite one year pre-ordered delay!
Technical issues (sensors, flange distance...) with blurred expected rewarding time of shipping...
Lack of communication with Europe...Faster parallel worldwide shipping without official distributor...!!!
No professional way of information, some approximate web updates for customers and shops...

The company seems not to realize that they announced a very nice tool, for people who planned to work with since July 2012!

BM often made up an excuse in "update", but too few apologizes for customers...

Of course...BM is not the I-company...

If people in Europe are serious about wanting a BMCC EF they should consider cancelling their orders and order from the US, more so if you are further down the list. It is clear this camera is not deliverying in numbers and the distribution is far from even or proportional. Regardless of what we are being told by BMD staffs on here the situation is shipments to Europe is just as bad as it was before December 2012 when BMCC EF was still in limited production having just got over the sensor problems. Of course in the US particularly the bigger resellers they are consistently getting them in quantity.

Cool! I saw that your camera already arrived. Was is it complicated to order through the japanese amazon store? How much did you pay for customs? off shelf sounds tempting

I orderd at 18.4.2012. The day of NAB launch. It´s one year in 28 Days  !

But in East Germany (DDR) You have to wait for a car order of a TRABANT over 10 years ! :D
Maybe BMD will topped that ?

In Finland in a biggish retailer (at least it's big in electronics in general in Finland) currently there seem to be 20 cameras in back order and 4 have arrived, all of them yesterday (that means 4/24 have come).

So 1 out of 6 have come. Crazy that there are cameras available right away with no queue in Japan and other places...

I like the fact that they have numbers of backorders and dates of camera arrivals on their web page:

If I werent waiting for the MFT and stuck with the EF I would have ordered from the US or Japan back in December 2012. The failure to ship the BMCC handle in the UK while other regions got delivery was an indicator the camera itself would have difficulty reaching these shores in significant numbers.
