slow motion problem in 4k raw on the URSA ?

fps 60
Raw uncompressed on the URSA
the 6 clips were unplayable on the camera and they don't play either on Resolve
the problem is 1 frame every 2 to 4 frame do a freeze for 7 to 9 seconds

I'm trying to save the clips

more info: when I look in the folder all the DNG are pretty much the same size
the problem seems to be in the metadata and how the DNG are handled for a playback

Yes, RAW uncompressed requires dual card mode at 60fps, while with my experience 3:1 can go up to 100fps in single card and for 120 dual card is needed.
By the way, if no dropped frames error showed up that shouldn't be the issue.

Ok from what I understand from dual card mode is that frames are written to say for example your Cfast card in slot 1 would have frames that would go in this sequence 1:3:5:7:9 etc..and on the other Cfast in slot 2 would have frames written 2:4:6:8:10 etc.. If you haven't already done this..you combine the files from both Cfast cards into one folder, instead of separate folders when you bring it into your computer. Then resolve would read them in the right sequence, combining both cards to read the frames in order 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8:9:10. The first time I tried it ..it did what your files were doing ..hopefully this is the problem.

I have the same problem and I resolve it....rename all the frames..thats give you 30 fps with no jump

I wasn't there when they did the shots I only know what they told me after

I just tried to reproduce the errors and I couldn't
I put the cam in raw 4k 60 fps project 23.98 not in dual mode
recorded and playback fine on the same cfast sandisk 128 and the Wise 128 that they had
I tried Dual mode with the 2 cards in , again the clips were good
I tried Dual mode with only 1 card in the record was flashing an error and the clips were jerky but still readable, did that with the Wise and Sandisk , same results

I'll test the same when I get home ..it's quite possible they may have tried to record in dual card mode with one card..which means the camera will write every other frame to that one card..since you can't seem to reproduce the issue.

I just checked the files manually in the folders
several hundred frames are missing in each clips
the first 200 something are there in sequence
after that 1 out of 5 to 7 frames are missing
the higher it goes the more are missing
in the 800+ frames it's about 1 out of 3

if they were in dual mode wouldn't the missing frames start at the beginning of the clip ?

yes it should start at the beginning of the clip, where in those first 200 frames you should have odd or even numbered missing clips..who knows, maybe the camera realizing that there was only one CFAST card recording and tried to write the frames to that one card, eventually when the speeds couldnt be maintained it tried to write frames to the second card but no card was there...all speculation right now. We eliminated at least for now that the camera is working fine, since you tested the Cam and couldn't reproduce the problem. i'm hoping in your case this was User Error on the part of the person that operated it. I'll test mine tonight and post back. I'll test it with one card in dual card mode and see what happens as well as test it in dual card mode with 2 cards. Are you on the latest software as well?

Tested my camera and i indeed got missing/dropped frames on playback in camera when using dual card mode with only one card..i tried it with 2 cards( both 256g lexar) and no stuttering playback..all frames accounted for..ask the person that recorded the media if he saw the red light blinking while he was recording..which suggests dropped frames it immediately began blinking as i was recording with one card. This may all be user error, it doesn't seem to me that anything is wrong with your camera

UPDATE: I followed a how to found on the internet about how to do a sequential rename with AUTOMATOR
once the renaming of all .DNG was done with no holes in the sequences, Resolve opened the clips normally
the playback is jumpy because of the missing frames but since it's an horror movie it adds a little something :lol: unplanned but still interesting
