Looks cool! Is that muzzle flash from blanks or after effects?

Nice, I've only done them in AE so I'd love to see how these turn out. Definitely put a link up when you release your film!

Thank you Michael i definetly will. I usually use after effects for this type of stuff..but Fcpx is shaping up to be really good and easy to use 3rd party plugins

It looks cool but the cyan grading seems too harsh in my opinion

Looks good, but that muzzle flash is way too much IMO. Compensators (muzzle brakes) are designed to keep that flash down, so when I see big muzzle flashes on guns, I think it looks cheezy. But hey, to each their own :)

Hey thank you guys for the opinions..I will take them into consideration on the final grading and muzzle flash composite. As for the cyan grading, are you talking about the second still? If so there is a glow on the second still, that may give it that look to you as the gun fires.

P.S Tyler i agree as well, thats why in the final shot it will be a little more blurred, as well as the opacity will be down a bit..all in all its all for dramatic effect, in real life the muzzle flash usually looks less dramatic

Do you have any additional screen shots from other scenes?

I really dig the color/look of this shot. Nice work. (didn't feel it necessary to quote the picture again :) )

I completely agree on dramatic effect. I've just seen a lot of instances (hollywood films and youtuber's) where the muzzle flash was so much it looked horrible. On the other hand, I've seen it done really well with just a "touch" of muzzle flash. Less is more sometimes I guess. Certainly one man's opinion here though! Good luck on the rest of the project, looks great so far!
