question about bmc mft

hi,

i preorderd bmc ef model but have question for the mft. why it is not possible to use adaptor and use manual mft lenses where u can adjust the iris manually? hope u can answer it to me because iam still thinkin about it. :)

edit: adaptor to use mft lenses on ef mount

A DP can better answer this, but this is what I understand...

The picture shows both BMCC models; EF on the left, MFT on the right. The bit they call the flange is the tube like part of the camera that connects to the lens. Notice on the MFT model, it's quite a bit shorter than the EF model. Hold an MFT lens over an EF mount and the lens would focus not on the sensor but in front of it because the EF flange is too long. The MFT version can take a greater variety of lenses because it has a shorter flange that can have added to it different lens adaptors, increasing the effective flange focus distance so that more lenses get to focus on the BMCC's sensor.
