Super 16 lenses with DNG's to download

My very unscientific test done in between setups on a show I'm doing. I managed to get a Canon 8-64, a Canon 6.6-66 and an Angeneix 11.5-138. All shot around T5.6.

So yeah...I don't think Super 16 lenses are going to play....

Thanks for posting this! Initially I wouldn't have thought it would be much of an issue to crop the output to HD but I've seen a telltale bayer pattern in some raw DNG frames that then disappears when downsampled. So it seems the downsampling to HD is a really necessary step to avoid artifacts, in which case you need every pixel.

Hi John, thanks so much for posting these. A few days ago I posted a blog article about doing a 1080 center extract for using s16 lenses... http://maketimemove.com/super16mm_lense ... gic_camera

Would it be okay for me to use three of your frames (the short ends of the zooms) as examples in the article? I would credit you (in text and within the image) and include a link to your site if you like. If you'd prefer I didn't use them, then I completely understand, no worries.

Also, a somewhat dumb question-- I see that all test footage on the web is 2400 x 1350, even though the Blackmagic product specs says 2432 x 1366... is theirs a typo/outdated? 2400 x 1350 is in fact the only option for raw?

Thanks again for sharing the frames.

Nevermind on the 2432 versus 2400, found the info.

No problem to use the frames.

The slight difference is due to the way the debayer works. Otherwise it adds in pixels of black into the process.

Thanks John. I've updated the article with examples of a 1080 center extract applied to your DNG frames if anyone's interested... http://maketimemove.com.

If no one else makes it, maybe try asking about it at http://www.foto-akcesoria.com.pl ... they're also eBay seller "ciecio7". I haven't used any of their adapters but they have a very good reputation.
