Ursa mini with MōVi / Ronin

PostSat Nov 14, 2015 6:57 pm

I wonder after thought how Ursa mini can work on a Gimbal.
have you ever wondered how you can access the menu to change settings or simply turn on/off the camera with a touch lcd on the left side??? and you can not flip.
you cannot open the lcd with a camera mounted on.
very annoying!

Putting the power button behind the lcd seems like a bad situation. I'm not sure why they chose that to be honest.

I've been wondering about this also, since I plan on using my mini on a gimbal or on sticks or some other support for the most part.

Having the v-lock battery attached to the camera seems quite unnecessary. The battery should be mounted on the handlebar and then just connect a cable to the camera. Or maybe the ursa mini requires the v-lock battery?

The mini has an XLR power port.

I wonder if its possible to power the ursa mini through the p-tap connection on the Ronin? thats how im currently powering my pocket camera, but i guess the ursa mini requires more power and maybe the ronin battery can not handle the camera and the gimbal at once?

I think that it can power a Red Epic, which has similar power draw if not more.
