micro studio and smartview 4k

Hi,
I finally got my micro studio camera,
however, I've connected it to my smartview 4k via sdi and i cannot see image when the camera is in 4k mode.
in 1080 mode i can see image.
any ideas?

This should work.

Have just verified this with a MSC and Smartview 4K.
I am getting a picture on all formats up to UHD 30p from the Micro Studio.

Tried a different SDI cable?

If you are getting a signal at 1080 but not at UHD then it's possible that a faulty cable or connector would be getting enough bandwidth through for 1080 signal but not UHD.

I have an HD-SDI cables but not 4K cables.
however i've used 3 different 5 meter cables that should work.

I will try a shorter cable today and see how it goes.

don't you think it is some firmware issue?

I can get UHD signal out the SDI on my Micro Studio camera. That said, the HDMI connection is HD 1080 only. So it does not look like a firmware issue.

It's not firmware. Micro Studio Camera into Smartview 4K via SDI works in all formats up to UHD 30p.

Your cable needs to be able to deal with the bandwith required for UHD.
Have you ever run 6G through one of your 5m cables successfully before?
