TVC Shot with BMPC 4k & BMCC

PostMon Dec 07, 2015 2:17 am

Hey Guys,
I shot a variety of footage this past summer no both the BMPC 4k EF and BMCC (about 50/50). We're going to create a few different ads from the footage but this is one of the first drafts. There will be VO eventually also. Any feedback is appreciated, and especially on the grade as it's in the initial stages. Thanks.

Only thing that visually seemed out of place was the brief aerial clip between cinching the saddle and the cattle grazing in the field.

Solid work. I still love the look that BMCC is capable of. Some good production quality and sublight really help. I like it so far. Skintones and the big sky and greens really look nice.

If anything I'd say theres one or two shots where it looks too green. Like he looks green. So matbe some power windows or something.

Thanks Rick and Jason, very much appreciate the feedback.

Yes, I agree he does look too green, especially in the saddle up shots. Thanks for noticing, I'll play around with a power window.

Cheers

The shadows look a little inconsistent to me.. the opening scene has lifted shadows, then on the saddle shots there are true blacks like the tail of the horse.

The aerial shot is nice, but I'd put it elsewhere and not use it as the transition. Even just a short clip of the cowboy mounting the horse would be a transition to the grazing cattle. Nothing serious. When everything you shoot defines perfection, we just have to nitpick a little!

This looks beautiful. I really like it. Great work. Nothing to add to what the others have posted. I just wanted to say that I think it's beautiful. Great stuff!

Thanks Blaine for pointing this out. I agree they need to be adjusted to match.

Thanks Rick. Very much appreciate your attention to detail. Don't worry, I nitpick over all these little things too.
