Lenses ???

PostThu Aug 30, 2012 10:38 am

The new BM Cinema Camera have an incredible price but (of course) without any lens, and lenses can be very (very) EXPENSIVE !

Wich lenses (compatible with the camera) at a good price ($300-$900) do you recommend ?

Thanks,

Edouard

I am in the same situation and I am considering Canon 24-105mm which are running around 1000 on amazon, but would love some other opinions.

Hi Edouard: What will you typically be shooting? What focal length(s) will you most often need? Do you require a super-wide zoom? Do you prefer fixed focal length lenses? Or very a fast aperture? Also, depending on where you are located, renting might be an option.

If you can narrow down your situation & requirements we can offer better advice. Cheers.

In my case, I will be shooting music concert and music training. I also will be doing some corporate product, and seminars. In the music area I will be using two BMCCs, one center stage 20 to 30 feet out. The other will be used from a 12 to 18 foot crane. Most of the corporate work is 10 to 15 feet, one camera, interview or informercial style.

I am considering starting with a Canon 24-105mm f/4 and a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 to start with. Than maybe add a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L and a wide angel later.
