Test Footage of a dancer

This is my first test footage on the BMCC i just received . YouTube obviously doesn't do justice or any compression for that matter. I shot this in low light with a Canon 24-105mm in RAW to ProRes. I still noticed, moire and some aliasing but the crushed grain looks great. I did a mild grade but most of the color was from gels and a Arri 1k. I really love this camera.

Thanks man, yea I've been so used to my canons, that once i started to mess with this footage thats what stood out, is how good it looks. I hate saying the word "filmic" but it looks filmic. I think my Canons are extremely bitter at me now.

Looks great! Is it just me or is the BMCC great at capturing flares and peripheral light, different to other cameras somehow? I wonder why that is. I guess the massive dynamic range and 12-bit RAW doesn't hurt. 8-bit cameras would make a mess of the gradients.

thanks Paul, i think we just used a piece of Rosco Cinegel White Diffusion and of course a smoke machine.

Thanks Eric, i bought the lens last year at f4. I specifically wanted to see what it would do with low light. Even though the lenses are stuck wide open the grain looks pretty good to me. I definitely will shoot with something faster but i thought with just one light, it held up pretty well. Youtube doesn't do justice to the footage, its a lot cleaner and on my flat screen looks amazing.

What settings did you shoot with? F/4.0 and 180 degree shutter angle? I'm pretty amazed at what you got out of the lens in low light, too.

Yes Christian wide open at 180 degree shutter zooming at 24mm and 35mm and 50mm, and a Arri 1k with diffusion and red medium rosco gel.

Tried to view in from my iPad (my best quality monitor) but it denied me saying it was not authorized to be viewed on mobile! The iPad is 2048x1536 so would be a great way to view it if you can update the mobile setting. Thanks and congratulations.
