Aikido - the art not to fight (short shot on BMCC & Pocket)

PostSun May 01, 2016 8:35 pm

I want to share my latest short with you: Aikido - the art not to fight.
It was well received by the Aikido community so far and I am quite pleased with the result myself. But now I would like to hear what other filmmakers say. Any feedback is welcome.

The film was shot on the BMCC and the Pocket, mainly raw.
Lenses: Sigma 18-35, SLR-Magic 12 mm, Schneider-Kreuznach Cine-Xenon 25 mm (old c-mount lens) and an 58mm Heilios.
The dojo scenes where shot with a 90° shutter angle, the rest with standard 180°

This was the first film I edited in Resolve only. I was surprised how well my MacBook Pro (with two fast SSD) handled raw playback. Of course slowdown came with each node in the color tab ;-)
Titles and FX where done in Fusion.

Looking forward to hear what you think.
