Andreas, hauntingly wonderful work. Watched without the English and, as I suspected, the actors and your well-crafted visuals and sound tell the essential story. Congratulations on your achievement.

I loved it. Beautifully shot, excellent sound/foley. Good storytelling here.

Got an update to an old video coming soon. Shot some new footage for it. Here's the last shot before the company logo. Lots of great new footage. Can't wait to edit, grade, and share.

Love the 15-stops of DR on the URSA Mini 4.6K.

Didn't realize till now that the iPhone double posted this. So I'll write a little about the video:
This is an update on the Summer Activities video I did last year. 70% of it is new footage. I got new footage of the new Zip Line that was added to the mountain, and as well golf footage that I didn't get last year because of rain, and then as well some hiking footage I was missing because I thought I had got it with the 2.5K BMCC, but I had deleted it, and so one and so forth. All the additional footage is from the UM4.6K. In fact, the whole video is now UM4.6K footage.

Here is the Summer Activities Video that I mentioned above. Very pleased with how the update came out. Again, 70% of the video is new footage from last year's version.

URSA Mini 4.6K EF, with Rokinon Cine Lenses, Hitech Formatt Firecrest NDIR Filters & Tiffen Polarizer, and a mixture of 4.6K RAW 4:1 and UHD ProRes 422 HQ.
Edited & Graded in Resolve 14 Beta.
VFX & Graphics done in mixture of Fusion & After Effects w/ Cinema 4D.

Bismarck, the usual 80/20 rule as applies to music videos--80% shots of the music group, 20% other things--is reversed here and it's a pleasure to add a strong sense of story as well. Award winning approach.

Very kind, Bismarck, thanks. I haven't been posting much lately though as I'm in the final week of finishing an 80 minute video in Resolve 12.5. 9 hours to do my first render (currently running) on my iMac 27" Retina. Effects for video and audio including noise reduction on the low-light portions and lots of stabilized shots and music to mix with the audio. I might take August off to recover, unless I have another wedding which is tentative so far.

Seeing the benefits of a faster system, but have to make do with what I have for now.

Here's something I shot recently for fun at a Meet & Greet type of networking event. It was an event for Photographers and Models to get together and interact. So I brought my trusty old URSA Mini 4.6K and got some awesome RAW footage.

Blackmagic URSA Mini 4.6K
RAW 4:1 4.6K in 2.4:1 aspect ratio (4608x1920)
Rokinon Cinema Lenses
Edited and Graded in DaVinci Resolve 14 Beta 6
Title Graphic made in After Effects (sorry it's still better for title graphics)

This just can't be legal, Tim. We have a social convention in The True North: if it's too much fun, it can't be legal! Alas, the country is awash in felons.

LOL! Well Rick, sometimes it's right to be bad and do something illegal.

Glad you liked the video.

Instead of creating a new thread for every music video/short film/"test"/etc. shot, lets make this the official "I shot this on my BMCC" thread.
That way, we can do away with all these scattered threads and see them all in one place.

I don't have my camera yet, but to start it off, I'll submit my favorite BMCC footage thus far:

"Meet Me in Big Sur" by user Andrew Juilan.

Feel free to share what you've shot with your camera here.

Thanks!

Great idea for a thread!

If you’re looking for a BMCC which has been looked after I am in the process of selling mine, currently shooting more run and gun stuff and the BMCC just isn’t suitable for me, it comes with a bunch of stuff, drop me a message if you’re interested.

Thanks!

Hi! Thank you very much. Not it was just a ND and IR Filter on it. I used Nikon AIS Lenses. They have kind of their own look to them.

Hey all,

Just a little piece with the BMPCC - some cloud tank footage. Thought it looked nice as footage in its own right so put an edit together.
Shot with the Samyang 21mm T1.5 and SMC Pentax 50mm 1.7

Hi everyone,

That maddening, numbing, winter. Dim days, frigid nights, ceaseless rain. Espresso to face another day, wine to face another night. Six months of struggling to find the slightest grasp of colour and a way to bring a cinema camera into the air.

Glorious alright! Quite an inspirational achievement and I think you're on to something good.

As for the fade-to-black, might be an argument to go for fade-to-white so we know you're still alive, and more importantly, your camera is alive.

This is episode 4 of a web series I shot, graded and edited. It's missing an intro, credits, reenactment footage. It was a five camera shoot.

First video with the URSA MINI PRO - and shogun flame. LOVE how the shogun flame worked together with the UMP in the desert sun. ABSOLUTLE no issues with the brightness and heat! But i noticed that now i need a better monitor for color grading.

Thomas,
What method did you use for playback of the track? CD, iPod or a better system?
What was your shooting frame rate?

Hey guys, here's my camera test for the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro.

Lenses used: Sigma 24mm f1.4 ART and Canon 50mm f1.4 L Series

Filtration = Tiffen Black Promist 1/4

All shot at the cameras native ISO of 800 in Perth, Western Australia.

All done in natty light. Any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers!
