And I'm not telling you how or what you should and should not do with any camera,
But for the most part you should not worry about shooting at the beach,
I and many, many others shoot at the beach regularly without any worry,
Just keep all your gear off the sand, I use a my water proof backpack and plenty of moving blankets when shooting at the beach, I also keep plastic trash bags and rubber bands handy for a quick raincoat, I would never let my camera or gear get sand on it.
Anyway you can't be fearful of any location or weather conditions, just be
prepared and ready for any weather anomaly, Rain, Wind, Snow etc.
