Dark Spots?

PostSat Feb 16, 2013 2:55 am

Hi everybody,
Today was my first day out shooting with the camera and I noticed a dark area on the screen while filming. I thought it might have been the lens but I cleaned the lens at it was still there. Tried some different lenses and the spot was still there.

Any ideas? Dust on the sensor? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

It very much looks like dust on the sensor, but I might be wrong.

Same thing happened to me. A little compressed air on the sensor will do the trick.

Thanks guys. I'll pick some air up tomorrow and see if that fixes it. Under any other circumstances I would have thought it was dust but I'm a bit paranoid with this camera for some reason.

I'd try a rocket blower first, less of a risk. Some compressed air cans can spray out a liquid depending on how the can is held.
