Ursa Mini 4.6k Firmware Updates People Would Like To See?

Whoa, I just thought about this and realized no one has suggested it. LUT and Camera Presets via USB in Blackmagic Camera Set Up.

Similar to the way you load LUTs on to the Video Assist and Video Assist 4K (through Blackmagic Video Assist Setup via USB) it would be great to also be able to load LUTs and Camera Presets to the camera via USB with the Camera Setup software. This would especially be great because it would mean that it could help keep those on the camera during a firmware update. This way you don't have to load them off a card after each firmware update. It also gives you two methods for adding LUTs and Presets to the camera: CFast 2.0 Card and USB.

I'm not replacing the CFast 2.0 Card method, just adding an additional method. Who else would love to see this?

To second a few suggestions:

- DNxHD / HR (it's in the menu already just grayed out!). Apple has turned their backs on creative professionals, so we're forced to use Windows. Need DNx asap please!
- 240fps 1080p bursts (4 second perhaps?)
- Power button assignable to F1 or F2
- Shutter Speed display, not just Angle (this can't be that hard to add)

BM has already stated the Power button is not assignable to the F buttons, sorry.

I'd love to see a grab frame mode where the camera captures on one frame. This would be great for stop-motion animation.

I second this suggestion, along with some kind of audible indicator that a frame was taken. Although it is possible to keep starting and stopping time-lapse recording, anyone who has done animation can tell you that would have more than it's fair share of risks and inconveniences compared to just pushing a button once for a single frame.

I'd like to see a system-independent firmware update.

It's quite difficult and costly to buy and install such insecure thing as Windows with the only purpose of upgrading Blackmagic camera.

As has been said, I also would love to be able to remap the middle grey on false color, as well as have the over/under stops color coded.

Yes, Firmware update is a must, Do You think we will get this in 2017?
1) To shoot some other resolution without windowed sensor in RAW or at least RAW 3:1
2) More personalised buttons- Those auto focus and IRIS buttons + two audio knobs as iris, etc.
3) Playback normally all resolutions and codecs without switching between them in playback mode.
4) Option to take 4.6K RAW still, please.
5)Auto white balance / audio option.
6) Option to change resolution without going in menu.

I mean, to shoot RAW in Ursa mini 4.6K all resolutions are available only in windowed sensor, except 4.6K resolution.

I'm not sure, but maybe Rolands means a wider variety of available aspect ratios?

Maybe he wants what ProRes does: shoot with the full sensor but record in any other resolution, such as full sensor readout but record in 2K. Problem is then it isn't raw because you have modified the values read from more than one photosite to calculate the value recorded.

On one hand; HA... Jealousy would eat me up if the mini got 120fps or more in 4K mode, because THATS what i bought the BIG ursa for (After the mini came out)

On the other hand... If we had 120fps on a 4.6K mini, I might give up on the turret dream and go for the loyalty upgrade!

URSA Mini 4.6K/Pro does 120 fps in 2K/HD, just not the full resolution 4.6K.

Maybe have more flexible windowing for speed like Red has?
Like 3K and 80 or 90 fps, so you still get HD resolution. After all, a Bayer sensor is not delivering real HD from 2K.
