I think the color science and dynamic range of the original is better than anything Panasonic has ever put out and the pocket still holds up.

You could get a Micro camera /Video Assist IR SmallHD 501 (or PixE 5/7 if going with the Micro 4K) combo instead? Same great Pocket color science with the Micro Cinema, and faster sensor readout times on both. And, you get 1080p60!

Yeah, I'm putting together a Micro rig. I was hoping for a 4K micro but I'll settle for the already awesome current one.

Great Nick, I have both Micro's, the Micro Cinema for quick hand held work, and getting those subtle look Cinema like scenes or look, my negative stock camera, I use with the Small HD 501. Then I have the icro Studio 4K with a PixE 5 recorder/monitor for event shooting and when I want a rich full saturated color look, my "Ektachrome Slide film" look camera, and when I need the extra resolution. I wish it could output Film Log, but it is a great IQ I. Its own right shooting Rec709.

Good luck with your setup.
Cheers

In terms of image quality, the original pocket is better than the GH5.
