Tell it to B&H Photo that has B4 and PL shipping this summer. Maybe the kayak has left Singapore.

You are in a roll Rick :!: yes, BM has them in shipping, meaning their distributor is in the process of sending them out to the regional areas for distribution to the dealer retailers. But, Obviously many have not received or even ordered them yet to get them in stock, so they (dealers) say, "coming soon..."

Well, I ordered my B4 mount March 3rd from B&H Photo…
Hopefully I'm one of the first on the list to get one.

Hope Tim forgives me, I was just having some fun with the different perspectives on shipping.. Obviously for a customer, shipping means the dealers are fulfilling orders but for the manufacturers it means units have left the factory so Tim is correct.

This is fairly accurate. Some resellers may be listing them as coming soon as they are sold before they come into their facilities due to pending orders or may not have placed an order with the distributor yet. As Tim did mention before however, they are out there in the channels.

I just called B&H Photo about the delivery on the mini pro B4 mount.
HP photo said that they just put a big order in on 20th of March ( I ordered mine on 8th of March… What ever. ))
They said that they should be getting a order from black magic on June 21. :)

Paul, that's absurd! All part of the plan where B&H Photo shaves their costs no doubt, but that's hardly sales service. What if you actually 'needed' the B4 mount? One of the little guys likely would have had your camera with the UMPB4 mount before NAB 2017.

BNH photo is sending my B4 mount to my house tomorrow !!!
Can't wait to receive it…
Now I have two Ursa mini pros one set up with the B4 mount and broadcast lens and the other set up for my EF lenses and possibly soon to be PL lenses.

Lucky! I just called b&h this morning and they told me they didn't have an ETA when they were getting the mounts (or at least the stock that would cover my order I'm guessing).

Paul, what gives? Are B&H Photo completely incompetent? April 5 delivery when B&H Photo told you they're expecting a shipment June 21?

They are incompetent, the left hand does not know what the right is doing all the time.

Enjoy, Nate. I really like the option on the Mini PL to replace the mount with the original BMB4 mount. Trust the BMPB4 will be even more popular. Lots of Super 16 fans here and lots of pros raised on ⅔" or smaller lenses. Over time the interchangeable mounts may be seen as every bit as important as those internal ND filters. Since you didn't ask, i actually don't think the three built-in IRND filters are that big of a deal as they might do in the future with a continuously variable electronic IRND. No more fussing with stops. You would just set aperture priority and the system would automagically dual in whatever IRND would keep your exposure accurate as the light changed.

Thanks Rick. Yeah I agree that built in electronic IRND is the future, but BM has to keep the cost down. I was looking at the FS7mkII but the interchangeable lens mounts won me over. I work at a college and am essentially a one man band with some student workers. Being able to use my ef glass I already have for my 'commercial' shoots (marketing videos/interviews etc..) and then swap the mount and use the b4 lenses I also already for the events in the larger venues is a wonderful thing.

Since Paul is clearly out having too much fun with his B4 mount, I'll give a quick update.

I just got my B4 mount today and it works really well. Very simple to install (5min) and makes this camera plug into my current setup with ease. One thing I did notice which I'll have to do some more tests with later this week it when plugging in the hirose it didn't recognize the widest aperture unless it was wide open when I plugged it in. So if it was set to T2.8 and could open to a 1.8 the camera would recognize 2.8 as the widest. Again didn't play with it for too long but still something odd.

Anyone know where I could get one of those torque screwdrivers rated to .45nm?

I bought one of these on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/301943260532
but had a hard time finding a allen key that fit it so I got a 4mm socket and bent a 2mm key to fit inside. Works well

The Wera seems like the best bang for the buck $. Rick and I,looked at qypuite a few when he got his UM4.6. It has worked out well for him.
