Video Assist feature request....

I just finished a large multi-camera shoot where I used four Video Assists. Handling the media files was a nightmare because all the filenames varied only by an incrementing number and there is no way to uniquely identify a Video Assist unit or control how the file name is generated.

Would it be possible to add similar file naming control as is present in the BMPCC?

Another feature request:
It would be great if you could extract a frame from a video clip and view it on the VA4k.
Specially useful for special effect/motion control shoots.

You would need to be able to record a separate frame grab, and display it as an overlay. The SmallHD 501/502 does this is, by recording the frame grab to its own SD card. Not sure you could be done on a VA in its current form, as it would need two SD slots, one for video,and one to record the still frame.

There are many instances where I need to match shots, angles and effects. A feature like this would be incredible!

I agree, which is why I traded by VA for the SmallHD 501.
